I have two small but very different lawns. The front lawn is south facing with a tree in it - it suffers from lack of moisture and weed control. The back lawn is north facing, in generally good condition but does have some moss and shade by the house.
Probably the thing I like most about Lawn Pack is how it breaks down your typical 3-in1 ’feed, weed, & moss killer’ into its constituent parts so you can apply what you need where, and when you need to apply it. So with those areas with moss, I can take cores out with a hollow-tine fork and apply iron sulphate, then rake out the dead, seed and go again. The late cold snap this year means I’m only a week post seeding but expecting good results.
One area I think could be improved is clearer instructions on the running order of applying the Lawn Pack and how long you have to wait between each. Having looked into it further, my back lawn was initially treated with iron sulphate to kill off the moss, then about 4 weeks later, in one day I:
1: raked out dead moss
2: took out soil cores
3: seeded
4: covered with Westland lawn sowing top soil
5: applied the granular fertiliser for leaf growth
6: watered the lawn
7: applied the biostimulant for root growth via a pressurised sprayer.
Got to say, the lawn is looking good. Seed is yet to appear - probably another week or so away.
